📢 Update -Microsoft named a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for UCaaS and UC

Microsoft has been recognized as a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for UCaaS and UC.  Our team takes great pride in this distinction for these workloads. For this distinction, a vendor must have a minimum of 50 published reviews with an average overall rating of 4.2 stars or higher.

In its announcement Gartner explains, “The Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice is a recognition of vendors in this market by verified end-user professionals, taking into account both the number of reviews and the overall user ratings.” To ensure fair evaluation, Gartner maintains rigorous criteria for recognizing vendors with a high customer satisfaction rate.

Here are a few customer quotes from the 400+ peer reviews* Microsoft has received for the market Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide:

“We can do instant messaging, can send any type of document and do video or audio call, [and] can send gifs/Emojis… It allows arranging and participating in meetings...Can make a group call which makes it more powerful”

“What I like most about Microsoft Teams is that it is a straightforward platform, which is easy to implement and execute. Besides, it has various features such as Telephony, Video Conferencing, Chats, among others, and this brings collaboration and teamwork.”

“The one thing I like is its web version which has all the functionality which is there on the desktop version. Moreover, other features such as video/ audio calls, they are fast and awesome. The other thing which I love is that it has both web, desktop and mobile client so even if you are away from your workstation, the ping right away arrives in your mobile phone and you never miss important communications.”

As we go forward, our product for UCaaS  is Microsoft Teams. More than 329,000 organizations use Teams, with over 60 customers with 10,000 or more users. But no resting on our laurels here - Microsoft is working hard to deliver new features monthly. Just last week we announced the availability of Group Call Pickup, Call Park, and Shared Line Appearance, and preview for Location Based Routing. To all our customers who submitted reviews, thank you! These reviews shape our products and our customer journey, and we look forward to building on the experience that earned us this distinction!

Bad news: Until Microsoft listen to User Voice, there is no straightforward way to enable disable this even you don't want.
Good news: We could write a SharePoint framework extension to hack styles until Microsoft give us a permanent solution.

How? I found this sample project (Inject CSS into modern SharePoint pages with React) which could reuse to our purpose. Thanks to Hugo for saving my time.  Steps to awesomeness: Clone the projectResolve dependencies > npm iBundle > gulp bundle --shipPackage > gulp package-solution --shipUpload package into SharePoint App catalog and deploy.
